Information about our Astrex Lops
 |
The first Astrex bunny was
discovered in 1931 in England, and research performed since then confirmed that it is caused by a recessive gene, hence they are very rare.
To be considered an Astrex Lop, a dwarf lop bunny must have curly and wavy
rex fur and whiskers. They are very rare because of the fact that the gene
for the coat type is recessive, meaning that it is masked by genes for other
coat types. |
We are delighted to discover that the Astrex
gene exists in the genetic pool of our breeding Dwarf Lop rabbits, and with
a suitable breeding program we can have more of them. They have a beautiful
temperament and make perfect pets like our velvet lop bunnies.
